Hera Pheri 3 Confirmed, But a Key Star May Not Return
The much-loved comedy franchise Hera Pheri is finally set to continue with a third film, and fans are thrilled. But there’s a surprising twist—Paresh Rawal, who played the famous character Baburao, might not be part of it this time.
A special launch ceremony for the movie recently took place, increasing the excitement. However, behind the scenes, things aren’t so smooth. According to a source, Paresh Rawal has stepped away from the film due to creative disagreements with the team. “There were differences in ideas between Paresh Rawal and the makers, so he chose to walk out,” the insider revealed.
Paresh Rawal’s character, Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, is one of the biggest reasons why the Hera Pheri movies became legendary. His comic timing, funny dialogues, and hilarious expressions have made him a fan favourite for over two decades. In fact, Baburao has become an internet sensation, with countless memes and GIFs based on his scenes.
Naturally, this news has left fans disappointed. Many were looking forward to seeing Baburao reunite with the other lead characters, Raju (played by Akshay Kumar) and Shyam (played by Suniel Shetty), for more chaos and comedy.

Still, there may be hope. People in the film industry believe that Paresh Rawal could return if things change at the last minute. An expert pointed out that even Akshay Kumar had once left the project in 2022, which upset fans deeply. But he later rejoined, bringing relief to everyone. “If Akshay could come back, maybe Paresh Rawal will too,” the expert said.
The Hera Pheri journey began in 2000. While the first film didn’t break records at the box office, it slowly gained massive popularity through TV reruns and word-of-mouth. Then came Phir Hera Pheri in 2006, which became a big hit and strengthened the franchise’s fan base.
Over time, both films turned into comedy classics, especially on social media where their scenes, jokes, and one-liners are still widely shared. That legacy has made Hera Pheri 3 one of the most awaited sequels in Bollywood.
Fans are now keeping their fingers crossed, hoping the makers and Paresh Rawal can find common ground and bring Baburao back—because, without him, the fun just wouldn’t be the same.
